Nannette Herroon Dasher passed away Saturday, May 22nd, at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Daughter of Walt and Marian Herroon, she grew up in Pooler, Georgia. She was a loving and devoted sister to Martha Macon of Pooler, the late Diane Wahlen of Raleigh, North Carolina and
soon to be sister in law Katie Olson of Statesboro, Georgia. She was a doting aunt to five, a proud great-aunt to six, and a great-great aunt to five. She was engaged to be married to her
best friend Mike Mullins of Brooklet, Georgia.
Nannette graduated from Robert W. Groves High school in 1981 and went on to graduate from Armstrong State College with a degree in chemistry. She enjoyed a career as a clinical
research associate.
She is best known for taking care of others; she was a friend to all and an ally to those in need. Nannette was a life-long champion of cancer awareness, and ultimately a breast cancer warrior. She also spent her life loving and advocating for animals of all kinds. Two lucky cats, Lucy and Katharine Hepburn, will miss her dearly.
Nannette will be laid to rest, with her parents, during a graveside service at Hillcrest Abbey West Wednesday, May 25th, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please donate in memory of Nannette to either the Susan G. Komen foundation or the Humane Society for Greater Savannah.
