Nancy J. Pickett Jones was born December 19th 1926 in Jacksonville, North Carolina to Edward G. Pickett and Dinah Murrill Pickett.
Nancy died October 30th 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Georgia.
Nancy graduated from High school in 1945. Nancy married Albert Jones on July 3rd 1962 and remained married to him until his death in July 2013.
Nancy worked from 1966 until 1989 at the Hillhaven Convalescent Center in Wilmington, North Carolina as a cook.
Nancy Jones symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by getting baptized in 1973. She was then known as Sister Nancy Jones. She remained a faithful Witness of Jehovah God until the day of her death on October 30th 2018.
Sister Nancy Jones became a resident of Thunderbolt Nursing Home in Savannah, Georgia (known as Tara) in 2015 due to increasing problems with dementia.
Sister Nancy Jones is survived by 4 daughters. Her oldest daughter Jacqueline Pickett McCoy preceded her in death in 2006.
Her surviving daughters are Constance Smith of Fort Washington, Maryland, Antoinette Pickett of Round Rock Texas, Patricia Aiken Green and spouse Aubrey Green of Pooler, Georgia, and Geraldine Davis of Fort Washington, Maryland. One son Randy Pickett of Wilmington, North Carolina survives her.
Nancy has 3 living sisters, Mrs. Mettie Pharr of Maryland, and Mrs. Hazel P. Mathis of Jacksonville, North Carolina.
She has 8 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for Sister Nancy Jones on Saturday, November 3rd 2018 at 3pm with Edward Ivey officiating.
