Nan Garis Donaldson

Virginia Nan Donaldson died peacefully Sept. 21, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born June 3, 1929 in Savannah and was predeceased by her husband, James P. Donaldson; her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Garis; and her sisters, Trent Fahey and Kitty Sanders.
Nan attended Charles Ellis School and Savannah High School, and was a former employee of the St. Joseph's Hospital X-ray department. She loved exercising, gardening, going to the beach, and she and James especially enjoyed having family and friends over to swim.
Surviving are her children, Bill Campbell, Jr. (Debbie), Kirk Campbell, Pam McCarthy (Cody), Kerry Campbell (Rosa), Jimmy Donaldson (Janice) and Patti Smith; her brother, Fred Garis; her sister, Rina Austin; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah.
Graveside Service: 11 a.m., Saturday in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery. Remembrances: Ferguson Avenue Baptist Church, Building Fund, 10050 Ferguson Avenue, Savannah, GA 31406.
