Myrtle Clanton Patterson, age 99, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024.
She was the daughter of the late Simmie and Mertie English Clanton and the widow of James Marvin Patterson after 55 years of marriage.
She is survived by granddaughter Erin Williby Garletts; grandson, Steven Williby; son in law, John Williby; great grand kids, Sydney and Briggs Garletts; and three special nieces, Carolyn Clement, Linda Mallis, and Janet Puig.
Myrtle is preceded in death by her daughter, Audrey Williby; brothers Ervin Clanton; Bobby and Simmie Clanton; and sisters, Audrey Long and Leona Clement.
Myrtle was a former member of Morningside Baptist, Savannah and a member of Fleming Baptist, Midway since 1984. She served both churches in various capacities and was an enthusiastic choir member for many years. After 31 happy years with American Cyanamid/Tronox she retired.
The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2024 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, Georgia 31406.
A funeral service will begin directly after visitation in the Hodgson Memorial Chapel at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. with the Reverend Greg Wilson officiating.
Interment will be held at Greenwich Cemetery, 330 Greenwich Rd, Savannah, GA 31404.
