Msg Richard C. Finley, U.S. Army (Ret)

MSG Richard C. Finley, U.S. Army (Ret), age 76, of Brooklet, GA passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023 at home.

Mr. Finley was born in Cleveland, OH on May 28, 1947, the son of the late Camille B. Finley and Richard Ingham Finley, III. He was a retired veteran, serving for 21 years with the United States Army. He served for many years as a Tank Commander and later as an Operations Sergeant. Following his military tenure he worked as a Logistics Specialist with Lockheed Martin, retiring after 20 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, horses, and was a gun enthusiast.

Mr. Finley was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy Ann Finley and his sister, Kathleen Ann Finley. He is survived by his children, Richard J. Finley and wife, Rachel P. Finley, Walter P. Finley and wife, Holly M. Finley, Kathleen Bearden, and Kenneth Register; brother, Timothy Finley and wife, Karole; grandchildren, Jake Tanner Finley, Dylan Ethan Finley, Emma Jane Finley, Logan Everett Finley, and Skylar Cole-Ruth and husband, Sean; and great grandchild, Kendall Cole-Ruth.

A graveside funeral service with full military honors will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2023 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA.
