Mr.Jack Vincent Galich,87,of Savannah,Georgia passed away peacefully early Friday morning, November 2, 2018, at Hospice of Savannah. Jack was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born April 4, 1931 in Split, Croatia. He was son of the late Joseph Galich and late Maria Krivic Galich.
Jack Galich was a survivor of the 2nd World War in Europe. He came to the United States at the age of seventeen. He was in the United States Air Force and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple in Savannah, GA. for 50 years. Jack truly was devoted to his family and was employed by Domtar Gypsum for 36 years and was also an avid sports fan.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years,Imogene (Jean) Galich, his son Jack Galich and his wife Gloria Galich, his daughter Cindy Kellum, granchildren Courtney Strickland and husband Phillip Strickland, Jack Galich(Little Jack), Craig Galich and Brian Spivey, Great-granchildren include Reagan Strickland, Amelia Strickland and Adelyn Spivey.
Visitation will be held at Baker-McCullough funeral home on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 12pm at Baker-McCullough funeral home with graveside service to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
