Mitchell Lane Thompson, 51, of Guyton passed away Sunday, May 20, 2018 at Memorial Health University Medical Center after a short illness.
Mitch was born in Statesboro, GA to Jimmy Lane Thompson and Shirley Griner Thompson. He was a graduate of Effingham County High School.
Mitch was a master automobile repair man; a mechanic and paint and body man. He had worked 19 years with Harold's Paint and Body Shop before going to work with Gulfstream. He loved the outdoors and most of all his girl's.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Lane Sheppard.
Survivors include his daughters, Kara Brooke Thompson Parrish (Scotty), Alexis Lane Thompson, Macie Lane Thompson, Amanda Barrow (David); step-daughter, Madison Grace McCullough; mother, Shirley Thompson; father and step-mother, Jimmy Lane and Ada Thompson; sister, Samantha Vernava; brother, David Thompson; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and many friends.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, Friday, May 25, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 7:00 p.m..
