Miss Debra Elaine Jacobs Walker, daughter of the late Benjamin H. Jacobs and Mamie Gertude Jacob, was born May 26, 1954 in Savannah,Ga.
She attended Public Schools in Chatham County, and attended the Derenne Avenue Church of God, and the Sanctuary. She professed her love of Jesus at an early age. She passed from this earth to be with her beloved Lord on Oct. 4, 2018, after a long illness.
She spent a vast majority of her life in the food industry, mainly Carey Hilliard's, where she retired as Manager, in 2007.
She was preceeded in death by her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin H. Jacobs, her sister, Dorothy Malphrus (Jacob), and her brother, Roy Jacobs.
She is survived by two children, John F. Skarin (Gina), and Stephanie E. Walker-Smith (Bubba), sisters, Peggy Graham (Bob) and Jackie Griner. Brothers, Harrison Jacobs (Betty) and Kenneth Jacobs (Cindy). 10 grandchildren, Alyssa Skarin, Bryce Helmly, Cason Kaapa, Alexis Hickox, Carlee Skarin, Maggie SMith, Layla Smith, Danika Skarin, Roxanne Smith and Michael - Christopher Bessent. She had several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation: Tuesday, Oct 9, 2018, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 10,2018 in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, of Baker McCullough Funeral Home, with interment to follow in the Greenwich Section
of Bonaventure Cemetery.
