Le Thi Mien
20 June 1940 – 08 January 2024
Grandma Mien Le unexpectedly passed away in her home on Monday, January 8, 2024. She is survived by her two children, Bang Vo & Annie Vo; her daughter in-law Hanh Nguyen; her son in-law Dong Vo; her ten grandchildren My Nguyen, Calvin Vo, Amy Tieu, Doreen Vo, Tony Vo, Emily Vo, William Vo, Nhi Hoang, Jimmy Nguyen, and Sophia Vo; and her two great-grandchildren Knox Vo and Skylar Vo-Gray.
Grandma was born on June 20, 1940, in Hue Vietnam. She emigrated to the United States in 1990 and lived and worked in Washington DC until retirement, after which she moved to Pooler, GA to be with her younger grandchildren.
What was most important to Grandma was family. She was the matriarch that kept everyone together and assured we would always be a close-knit family. She loved family gatherings and lively atmospheres filled with warmth and laughter. Her favorite past time was cooking traditional Vietnamese dishes, karaoke, and playing cards. Although Grandma did not have much, she gave often. She was active in the Buddhist community and would donate to various temples. Grandma treated everyone like family and will be greatly missed.
