Michelle Bernadette Ansley, age 71, of Savannah passed away on January 13, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family in her final moments.
Michelle Ansley, a native of Savannah was born on January 11, 1954, the daughter of the late Frank Thomas Ansley and Mary Frances Ansley. She was a 1972 graduate of Windsor Forest High School and continued her formal education at Armstrong State College. She then earned a degree in accounting from Savannah State University. Joining with her brothers, Kevin and Jeffery, she was a partner of Ansley & Sutton Construction Company and Ansley Brother Dock Builders. She was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church. Michelle was an animal lover and enjoyed decorating for holidays, kids, camping, and reading. She was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for her and her brothers’ company. She will be loved forever and remembered as one of the most kind, generous, and selfless mothers, siblings, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Michelle was preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen C. Ansley and Kevin B. Ansley. She is survived by her children, Wayne A. Van Voorhis (Lori), Julianne Van Voorhis, Victoria Van Voorhis, Frank A. Van Voorhis, Frances H. Rose, and Lt. Dustin L. Rose; siblings, Timothy F. Ansley (Gail), Colette A. Sego (Gary), Dr. Gregory W. Ansley (Bobbie), Renee A. Hunter (Bill), and Jeffery Ansley (Kathleen).
A funeral service will be held by Reverend Lewis King, on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 3:00PM at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM until the time of the service. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Catholic Cemetery.
