Michael Kerry Gorlesky

Michael Kerry Gorlesky, 59, of Lugoff, SC passed away Monday August 1, 2022 at MUSC- Kershaw.
Michael was medically retired from the United States Air Force with 16 years of service. He loved children, having helped with the AWANA club and Special Olympics, and Jayden’s elementary school library. He was a member of the Harvest Baptist Church and sang in the choir for a time. Michael could always be seen with some type of gadget or tablet with him. He was a loving husband, father, and loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Runa Shurling Gorlesky; uncle, Ray Shurling; aunt, Ruth Phillips; and grandmother, Mildred Gorlesky.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Cheryl Brantley Gorlesky; daughter, Megan "Jayden" Gorlesky; father, Art Lee Gorlesky; brothers, Art Keith (Lisa) of Rock Hill, SC and Kenneth Lee (Tonya) of Savannah, GA; sister, Debra Kay of Ellabell, GA; several nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will take place Tuesday August 9, 2022 from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel.
A Funeral Service will take place Tuesday August 9, 2022 at 11 A.M. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Garden City Chapel with Pastor Bill Dulaney officiating.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project ( https://support.woundedwarriorproject.org ), The Special Olympics ( https://support.specialolympics.org ), or the Harvest Baptist Church Children Ministries (281 Wildwood Ln, Lugoff, SC 29078).
