Merle Zittrouer

Merle Jaudon Zittrouer, 87, of Rincon passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at Legacy Assisted Living under the care of Amedisys Hospice.
A native of Effingham County, she was the daughter of the late Reginald Snooks Jaudon and Mary Emily Barner Jaudon.
Merle was a member of Rincon United Methodist Church where she was once active in the WW Oglesby Sunday School Class, Piecemakers Quilting Group and the Eva Oglesby UMW Circle. She was retired after 26 years from ITPEU and LOVED spoiling her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Ernest E. Zittrouer, Sr., children, Corley J. Zittrouer (Mary Lynn), Ernest "Ernie" E. Zittrouer, Jr. (Linda), Emily Chaffin (Chadwick-deceased), 7 grandchildren, Brendan Zittrouer (Erica), Christopher Zittrouer (Hallie), Kayla Zittrouer, Kelsey Zittrouer, Ernest Zittrouer III, Erik Zittrouer, Kathryn Chaffin and Chadwick Chaffin, Jr., 2 great grandsons, Chapman Zittrouer and Landon Zittrouer, siblings, deCaradeuc Jaudon (Evelyn), Barbara Heath (Eddie), Wendell Jaudon (Teresa), Joseph Jaudon, Sr. (Barbara), several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Due to Covid 19 a private graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Rincon United Methodist Church, 107 Savannah Ave., Rincon, Georgia 31326.
