Mrs. Parsons was born on June 26, 1979 in Decatur, IL. She grew up in Scottsdale, AZ and returned to Decatur to attend nursing school. Melody is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Melvin J. Parsons, Jr.; daughter, Angelica Haynes; granddaughter, Hailey Rose Haynes; mother, Cindi Everett (Lon); and brothers, Kevin Haynes and Nathan Haynes.
