Melissa Jean Carter Landing, 43, of Guyton died Monday, October 28, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice Savannah, Inc.
A native of Savannah, she was the daughter of Ernest “Tommy” Carter and Katherine Morrell. Melissa was raised in Yulee, FL and Guyton. She enjoyed being outside and was said to bake the best homemade pies.
Survivors include her children, Brittany Shuman, Makayla Landing and Zackary Shuman; a granddaughter, Brayleigh Brook Neumans; mother, Katherine Hughey; father, Ernest “Tommy” Carter; sisters, Carisa Cross (Corey), Rebecca Carter, Crystal Powell (JR), Melanie Boyer; Billy “BJ” Brown; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The Memorial service will be held at 302 Church St. Guyton Ga, 31312 on Saturday, November 9, 2019 from 4pm-6pm.
