Mattie Lee Wright Tyson, 96, of Pooler died Friday, December 1st, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
A native of Savannah, she was the daughter of Eugene Wright and Permelia Bell Wright. She retired from Pepsi- Cola and attended Southside Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Burdette Eugene Tyson, her sisters, Myrtice Hancock, Gertrude Aldrich, Jackie Wright, her daughter in law, Robin Tyson, and two granddaughters, Susie Beasley and LeAnne Tyson.
Survivors include her children, Rev. Robert Tyson (Bonnie), Sandra Elizabeth Ditges (Albert), William "Bill" Tyson (Libby), John Tyson (Judy), Jimmy Tyson, 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a number of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, December 3rd, 2017 from 3 pm to 5 pm at Baker-McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 4th, 2017 at 11 am in Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Garden City Chapel, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey - West.
