Mary D Sullivan, age 94, of Savannah, GA, passed away on November 20, 2018. Mary grew up in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY and in 1971 moved to Chicago, IL. In 1990 she retired to The Landings in Savannah.
Mary was a first generation college graduate when she completed her bachelor's degree at Hunter College.
She went on to serve as a typesetter and executive assistant in various publishing companies in NYC and Chicago. This fueled her literary passion. Mary was known for instilling the love of reading in many young people's lives.
She was a loving wife, step-mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her dedicated and devoted husband of 34 years, Herbert D Sullivan along with 5 step-daughters, 2 grandchildren, 3 cousins and 3 nieces and nephews.
A graveside burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Bonaventure Cemetery, Greenwich Section.
