Mary Stewart Smith, born March 28, 1938 in Savannah Georgia - died December 27, 2021 in Savannah Georgia.
At the age of 7 she left Savannah and moved to Harlem, New York, there she was raised by her aunt Rebecca Overstreet. She was educated at Harriet Beecher Stowe and graduated from Yorkville Vocational High School in 1957.
While in Harlem she met her husband Edward Lee Smith and they married in 1957 and that union lasted 50 years. She gave birth to 6 children and is currently survived by 5 children; Michael, Calvin, Kevin, Shaundra, and Shannon.
A licensed practical nurse since 1958, a devoted pioneer of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, she truly blessed us with her love.
