Mary R. Kolgaklis, 95, of Savannah, died March 26, 2017 at her residence.
As a native Savannahian, Mary was an Honor Graduate of Commercial High School and Draughon's Business College.
She worked for Life and Casualty Insurance Co., and she served as Executive Secretary to Robert J. Marsh, Administrator of Candler Hospital. Mary also served 28 years for the City of Savannah, and 21 years as Mayor John Rousakis's Confidential Secretary.
Mary was a member of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, and a member of St. Barbaras 's Philoptochos Society. She was a loving and loyal friend to all, and an avid bridge player.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony Rousakis and Ethel M. Rousakis, her husband, Arthur Theodore Kolgaklis, and brother, Bill Rousakis.
Mary is survived by a son, Ted A. Kolgaklis, (Rebecca B.), of Richmond Hill, Ga; 3 daughters, Kay K. Litchfield, Savannah, Ga; Ethel P. Mackrell (Michael), Laguna Beach, California; and Tina Coyle (Richard) of Savannah, Ga; 2 sisters, Sophie Kocoves, Novi, Michigan; and Dorothy Economou, Savannah, Ga; l8 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 5 - 7 p.m. Thursday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Trisagion Service: 7 p.m. Thursday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church, with Father Vasile Mihai, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
