Mary Lou Waters Parker, age 88, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center.
Mrs. Parker was born on March 19, 1931 in Sylvania, GA, the daughter of the late Hardy Clyde Waters and Carrie Elizabeth Brant Waters. In 1946 she married Jack L. Parker and together they traveled the United States and abroad during his tenure with the United States Air Force. After retiring to Savannah she began working with Avon Cosmetics and retired as a District Manager after 29 years of service. She was a longtime member of Windsor Forest Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening.
Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack Lewis Parker; brother, Wade Waters; and sisters, Regis Thompson and Bernise Jefferson. She is survived by her children: Linda Delaney, Clermont, FL, James R Parker (Patty Bridges), Savannah, Jackie King (David), Savannah; her grandchildren: Michele L Pack, West Palm Beach, FL, Melissa Pack Strain (Mark) Winter Garden, FL, Seth D Delaney, Clermont, FL, Jaime Parker Hoffman (Brian), Savannah, Patricia E Parker (Joe Napolitano), Las Vegas,NV; step-grandchildren: Mary Jane Waters Cooper (Ed) Tampa, Charles W Waters, Tampa; her five great-grandchildren: Madison and Mason Strain, Parker and Amelia Hoffman, and Luca James Napolitano; her brother: Lavaughn (Bud) Waters, Sylvania; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with burial following at Hillcrest Abbey West.
