Mary Orzechowski, age 61, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Mrs. Orzechowski was born on August 1, 1960 in Savannah, the daughter of the late Hugh Dorsey Medders and Irene Way Medders. She attended Savannah High School and continued her formal education at Savannah Technical College. She worked as a microcomputer specialist and librarian with Savannah Tech and also served as a librarian with the Oglethorpe Mall Library. Mary enjoyed painting, computers, spending time with her family, and acting. Mary never missed an opportunity to audition for movies being filmed within the area. She was proud to have a part in movies such as Forest Gump, and Something to Talk About.
Mrs. Orzechowski is survived by her daughters, Caroline Medders, Jessie Orzechowski, and Georgia Goforth (Ethan Johnson); brother, Royce Medders (Joy); sisters, Elaine Shuman and Patricia Bradley (Bart); grandchildren, Kai, Hayden, Mai-le, Liam, Owen, and Nora; beloved dog, Bruce; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Dennis Medders; sisters, Linda Medders, Retha Ann Dickson, and Wanda Medders; and granddaughter, Michaela.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
