Mary Jean Schupp,89, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on November 5, 2023.
“Jean” was born in Amityville, New York on Long Island. She led a full and varied life and was considered a “character” by many she came in contact with and had a healthy joy for life, a wonderful sense of humor and never met a stranger she wouldn’t talk to. Jean was an ardent seamstress, cook and loved all artistic and crafty endeavors. She had an intense passion for all animals and animal rights. She will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Schupp, Jr.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Schupp, Sr., two sons, Thomas Schupp (Siulyn) of Pooler, GA, Stephen Schupp (Jeana) of California, and a daughter, Wendy Olnhausen (Fritz) of Florida, her grandchildren, Crystal Crawford, Nicholas Schupp, Heidi Olnhausen Geren, Benjamin Olnhausen, Melisa Schupp, Katya Schupp, Yumei Manzano, and Liweng Manzano. She also has several beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 10 from 4:00-6:00 pm at the Baker McCullough Funeral home in Garden City, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s honor may be made to the ASPCA or the Alzheimer’s Association.
