Mary Frances “Frannie” Hernandez, 66, passed peacefully on October 22, 2019 at home surrounded by family and her beloved cat, “Mooney”.
Frannie was born in Heidelberg, Germany on May 13, 1953. In 1954 she moved with her family to Savannah where Savannah became her home. She was an avid collector of ceramic birds and had an affinity for animals, with a heart for her cats. Frannie was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church. She spent much of her time caring for her many nieces and nephews and reserved a special place in her heart for her great-nieces and great-nephews.
Frannie was predeceased by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Hernandez Sr.; brothers, Frank Hernandez Jr. and John W. “Billy” Hernandez. She is survived by her brother, Danny Hernandez (Marsha); sisters, Christy Stevens and Terri H. Sutton (Henry); 16 nieces and nephews; and 27 great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 28, 2019 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with Pastors Kelly McInerney and Herb Hubbard officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Catholic Cemetery.
