Mary Elizabeth Sellitto Sharpe, age 74, died Friday, January 7, 2011 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital in Beaufort SC.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Bonaventure Funeral Home Chapel with Monsignor Francis Nelson, officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery with Kurt Kuchenbrod, Johnny Hohenstein, Danny Durden, Andrew Durden, Arthur Bunger and Kevin Bunger serving as pallbearers.
Mary was born in New York City on December 5th, 1936 to the late Ralph Sellitto and Maude Graham Lindner. She was an accountant and secretary for Cable Vision of Savannah, now known as Comcast. She was a faithful and devoted member of St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Step-father, George G. Lindner; Husband, Joseph Sharpe and a sister, Emeline Sellitto Bunger.
Survivors include her children, Kelley S. Durden and husband Ned of Savannah, Karen Sharpe-Tauscher and husband Michael of Bluffton, SC; Susan S. Hohenstein and husband John of Savannah and one son, Joseph F. Sharpe of Savannah and six grandchildren, Daniel Durden, Mary Ashley Durden, Andrew Durden, Kurt Kuchenbrod, Kendra Kuchenbrod, John Bernard Hohenstein, IV.
A Rosary will be said Monday, January 10, 2011 at 6:00 pm from the chapel of Bonaventure Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 8:00 pm.
