Mary “Ethel” Dyer, age 79, of Savannah passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Mrs. Dyer, a native of Savannah was born on February 8, 1946, the daughter of the late William F. Dyer, Sr. and Dorothy Louise Dyer. She was a 1964 graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School. She worked for many years as an Office Manager with Georgia Pacific. She was a longtime member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Ethel was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles where she was a Past President and Secretary of Savannah 330 and served as the Georgia State President in 2000. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary at Post 184, a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was active with the Parents Club of Cecil Cheves Chapter, Order of DeMolay. Outside of work and civic involvement Ethel enjoyed bowling, playing with several leagues when she was younger.

Mrs. Dyer is survived by her son, Kevin Michael Dyer and wife Leanna; grandchildren, Patrick, Joseph, and Olivia; siblings, Louellen Padgett, William F. Dyer, Jr. and wife Sue, Charlie Dyer, and Margaret Ubele and husband Chris; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 18, 2025 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Fraternal Order of Eagles or to the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
