Marvin Lamar Snellings

December 30, 1936 — June 25, 2021

Marvin Lamar Snellings, 84, of Dublin passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 at Serenity Place Hospice in Dublin.

He was born December 30, 1936, in Glasscock County, Gibson, GA. Spent most of his life living in Chatham County. Retired from the City of Savannah Water Department. He was a member of Resurrection Assembly of God Church in East Dublin where he loved to worship and serve his Lord. He was one of the most Godliest men that talked about Jesus all the time. He loved to fish and enjoy life and help others, he was a very selfless man and a example to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie Beth and Paul David Snellings, wife, Judith Anette Snellings, siblings Brenda Rogers, Lewis Odum, Frank Snellings, Robert Snellings, Roy Snellings, Charles Snellings, and Betty Ann Claxton.

Survivors include a special niece and caregiver, Angie (Doyle) Tanner, two sons, Melvin Lewis Snellings and Thomas Allen Snellings, grandson, Melvin Lewis Snellings, sister, Shirley Darsey and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Graveside Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery. Officiating will be Reverend Hugh Spivey and Reverend Tommy White.
