Marvin Lee Barney, 92, of Savannah and widower of Dorothy J. Barney, died, Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Candler Hospital.
He was born on February 2, 1926 in Martinsburg, WV, a son of the late Hamilton Guy and Della Mason Barney.
Marvin was a graduate of Martinsburg High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He then went on to learn the masonry trade and worked for the National Park Service in Andersonville, GA restoring masonry at their historic sites.
Surviving are; Mrs. Judy Crook, Greg Janes, Brad Janes, various nieces and nephews of Martinsburg, WV and by his long-time friends and caregivers, Michael and Paulette Faber of Savannah, GA.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Rosedale Cemetery in Martinsburg, WV.
