Martha Rebecca Hall Hardison, 84, of Pooler, Ga., died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2018 at Hospice Savannah. She was born in Bartow, Georgia, and was formerly employed by the Savannah Bank and Trust Company as a bookeeper, and then Cut Art Stone Company as a bookeeper. She was a former member of Central Christian Church and South Gardens Christian Church, until the church closed, and then became members of Rothwell Baptist Church in Pooler, Ga. She was Past Grand Matron, Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, 1981 - 1982, and Past Worthy Matron for Bethlehem Chapter # 269, Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Secretary. She served as a Supreme Deputy from 1988 - 1992, and a Supreme Inspector in 1992 - 2011 of International Order of Rainbow Girls, she was a member of the House of Gold, and she was the First Rainbow Girl to be a Worthy Grand Matron from the State of Georgia, and was a 50 years member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Floyd Hardison, Pooler, Ga; 3 daughters, Bonnie Dixon (Jimmy), Guyton, Ga; Karleen Russell (Chris) of Savannah, Ga; and Sarice Kook (Richard), Canton, Ga; sister, Alma Heilman (Lewie) of Chester, Virginia; 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Order of the Eastern Star Memorial Service: 7 p.m. in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Devin Bell, officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
