Martha “Marty” Ann Rogers Williams, age 86 of Savannah, GA went to be with the Lord on November 29th after a short illness. Marty was born in Savannah, GA to the late Coy Mallory Rogers and Lucille Gill Rogers. She is a graduate of Savannah High School and attended Armstrong State University. She was employed with the Chatham County Tag Office for 15 years. Marty was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple.
Preceded in death by her parents Coy and Lucille Rogers, husband, Billye D. Williams; sons Bruce Rustin Williams and Mark Joseph Williams, sister Linda Rogers Pinckney, brother and sister-in-law, Coy "Pete" M. Rogers, Jr. and Theresa Douglas Rogers, brother, James "Jimmy" R. Rogers, nephew, Sheldon Gill Pinckney, mother and father-in-law, Horace Williams and Zoni Orendorff.
She is survived by sons Dean Rogers Williams, Michael Gill Williams, Bart Mallory (Michelle) Williams, Timothy Rich Williams and daughter Lori W. (Michael) Stubbs, grandchildren, Josh, Taylor (Todd), Rustin (Lela), Sidney, Landen, Mallory, Christopher, Michael E., Morgan, Michael G., Miles, great-grandchildren, Mark and Eliza, brother-in-law, Frank Pinckney, sister-in-law, Bonnie Rogers and several special cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was an “Angel on Earth” Her children and grandchildren loved her so much and could not have asked for a better Mother and Mimi/Meme! She could always put a smile on your face and you could feel her love through her sweet and gentle voice. She was selfless, kind, caring, loving and a role model to all. She will be sorely missed by her family, her dog Caroline and all that knew her.
The family will receive friends from 1-2PM at Calvary Baptist Temple with the service immediately following at 2pm, Saturday, December 4, 2021 with Pastor Derward Poole officiating. Burial will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
