Martha Emily Hartmann, age 57, passed away on Friday May 22, 2020.
Martha was born on March 3, 1963 in Bradford, PA. She graduated college at SUNY Geneseo and obtained a Masters from Loyola. Martha taught Special Education in the Baltimore County School System and Lansing, Illinois before her present position teaching Fifth Grade at Blandford Elementary in Effingham County.
Martha is survived by her husband Peter, daughters: Sarah and Rachel, and their Shih Tzu: Lucy Liu.
Siblings Steven Kroon (Sharon), Karin Schaffer (Bert), Karl Kroon, and John Kroon (Christine). She had many nephews and one niece plus many great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Martha's life will be held at a later date at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Savannah.
Per her wishes, her ashes will be placed around Sequoia Trees.
Martha's favorite quote she would say to us was "you do what you got to do to get by in this world." For those of us who knew and loved her it won't be the same but we will try.
