Martha Griner Allen

Martha Griner Allen, age 95, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

Mrs. Allen was born on September 30, 1926 in Brunswick, GA, the daughter of the late Susie and Andrew Gentry Griner. She worked as a bookkeeper at Smith & Kelly Co. After she retired, she was able to explore her passion for all types of art. She was a member of the Artist Guild and taught ceramics in the aftercare program at Calvary Day School. She grew up attending Morningside Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Calvary Baptist Temple.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her sons, David Smith Allen and Larry Gale Allen (Myra B. Allen); 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Monday, February 21, 2022 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens under the direction of Baker McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Calvary Baptist Temple, 4625 Waters Avenue, Savannah, GA 31404.
