Marlene Donaldson Pinkston, age78, of Savannah, Georgia, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 25, 2017.
Marlene was born in Metter, Georgia on August 27, 1938. She lived for a number of years in Augusta, Georgia before coming to Savannah.
She was a charter member of The Sanctuary of Savannah where she faithfully attended.
The impact of the love for her family and friends has been felt deeply, especially by some of her grandchildren whom she raised as her own. She will be deeply missed by all.
Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Omar Lee Pinkston and son, Rex Allen Reid.
Marlene is survived by daughter Marlyn Reid; grandchildren Dana Patel (Rocky), Elizabeth Dawn Short (Ernie), Tasha Reid, Jo Reid and Star Nicole Reid; two sisters, Alva Lee Terrell, Reta Willoughby; brother Richard Donaldson (Elna) along with six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Monday, May 29th, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at The Sanctuary of Savannah on Whitefield Avenue.
