Mark Everette Redding, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at his home. The son of the late Bobby E. Redding, Sr., and the late Audrey Register Redding. Mark was born in Savannah,GA on July 2, 1956 and was the middle of five children.

Mark was raised in Savannah, GA and was a graduate of Savannah High School where he played football under Coach Orvil Holmes. He attended Armstrong State College. He was formerly employed by Strachan Shipping Company, Hunter, McLain, Exley and Dunn Law Firm and was the current owner of Paul Davis Restoration of Coastal Georgia. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

Mark enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and boating. He was an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. He was previously a member of Solomon's Lodge # 1, F.& AM's, the Scottish Rite Consistory - Valley of Savannah, and a patrol unit for the Alee Shrine Temple.

Surviving are his loving wife of 45 years, Kathy Clarke Redding; daughter, Anne Marie Redding Traub; grandchildren, Katelyn and Tucker Traub ( Meghan Kicklighter); sisters, Deborah Usher (Richard) and Robyn Kretschmar (Steven); brother, Tim Redding, Sr.; mother in law, Martha Jane Clarke; sister in laws, Julie Kathleen Redding, Becky Shea (Pat), Susan Worthington; brother in law, Roy Clarke; aunt and uncle, Frankie and Don Miekley; several nieces and nephews; Special Friends, Tommy and Teresa Abernathy, Joy Graham, Charles Parker, and Clint Land.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Bobby E. Redding, Jr.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to his doctors over the past several years: Dr. Ted Geffen, Dr. Morris Geffen, Dr. Buffi G. Boyd, Dr. Roy Flood and Hospice of Savannah.

When we were children many years ago, we were happy with not a care in the world While no one knows what the future has in store for us, we can always cherish those precious memories that linger in our souls.

Your untimely death left a hole in our hearts that will never be filled.

You ran the race and fought the fight with honor and character. The faith, courage and dignity you displayed when dealing with a terminal illness were admirable and will never be forgotten.

Until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held at 11am  on January 29, 2019 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.

Visitation: will be held between 5pm to 7 pm on January 28, 2019 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.

Interment will be at Lower Black Creek Cemetery.

Monsignor Costigan will officiate the service
