Marianne Brigitta Dedaviess

October 25, 1936 — May 8, 2020

Marianne Brigitta DeDaviess, 83 passed away May 8, 2020. She had by her side her family and friends that had become family.

Marianne was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. She later came to the states after marrying her first husband Frank J. Talarsky that preceded her in death, and their three children.

It was her wish that she was never to be in a hospital or nursing home during her final days. Keeping a promise to her mother Marianne; Yvonne, her granddaughter whom she adopted and is known as her daughter, took on the responsibility with love and devotion to care for her mother since 2016 after the passing of her father Osceola DeDaviess and husband to Marianne.

Marianne suffered from Alzheimers and Dementia. During these last remaining years, Yvonne made her mother's life a journey; from traveling to Chicago, going to the beach, being on a boat, going fishing, even swimming in a pool, to get togethers at home with friends having beer and BBQ. Marianne loved her beer, even if it was watered down by her daughter, which she knew, because those would be the ones she would dump out and ask for another one. There was even a time that Marianne picked up a nerf gun when no one was looking and then had a shoot out with Jakob and Abbie, her great-grandchildren. Marianne is even in the movie "The Poison Rose'', where she brought smiles, laughter, and touched the lives of celebrity actors, film directors, casting agents, safety crew and definitely everyone that were extras in the movie.

In June 2018, she reunited with her youngest son, Raymond F. Talarsky. In February 2020, she was reunited with her oldest son, Douglas J. Talarsky. Yvonne felt that it was important for her mother and her uncles to reunite after being apart for decades. Thankfully, that took place.

She was preceded in death by her husband Osceola DeDaviess, her daughter Tatjana V. Talarsky, her only brother Wolfgang Schmalland including his wife Barbara Scmalland, whom she was close to.

Marianne is survived by two sons, Douglas J. Talarsky and Raymond F. Talaraky; granddaughters Yvonne DeDaviess and Harmony R. Talarsky; great grandchildren: Jakob L. Howerton, Abigail T. Howerton, Melody Mendoza, Collin Mendoza and Lily Mendoza; and a nephew Jurgen Schmalland.

She wanted people to remember her when she was alive. Her final resting place will be beside her husband Osceola DeDaviess in Pliny, WV.

There will be a Memorial dinner announced in the near future. Anyone who would like to attend to honor her memory, please contact her daughter, Yvonne.

It is also requested should anyone wish to send or bring flowers, that instead of flowers in vases, please if possible to bring a potted rose bush or one to be planted. These were her favorite flowers and she never had a chance to plant them anywhere she wanted to.
