Margie Wilson

Margie Boyd Wilson, aged 84, went to be with the Lord on October 1, 2024, in Savannah, GA. Born on July 19, 1940, to parents Verda Mae Powell Boyd and Cary Boyd, Margie led a fulfilling life marked by her dedication to her career and her faith, Michael (her deceased husband) and her beloved cats.

Margie's professional life was largely spent as an Administrative Secretary, where she served the Georgia Courts System, various banking institutions, and Congregation Agudas Achim with unwavering commitment and efficiency. Her contributions to these organizations were deeply valued, showcasing her organizational skills and attention to detail.

She earned an Associate's degree from Georgia Southern University, which furthered her abilities and passion for her administrative roles.

A devout member of the Southside Assembly of God in Savannah, GA, Margie's faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and community.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Verda Mae and Cary Boyd, and her beloved husband, Michael Wilson. She is survived by her sister, Kathleen B. Waters; brother-in-law, Brooks Waters; and nephews, Greg and Tracy Waters. Her friends and family remember her as a kind, gentle, loving, compassionate soul, who supported and cherished her loved ones and all God’s creatures.

Margie's life was one of service, faith, and love, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her memory will be cherished, and her presence sorely missed.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, 315 Greenwich Rd., Savannah,, GA 31404.
