Margaret Winders Kuhn of Buckingham South died early May 1. Margaret was born October 21, 1932 in Savannah, Georgia and was a 1950 graduate of Savannah High School where she left an academic record none of her siblings could hope to match. Margaret spent most of her career with Morrison's Cafeteria as Administrative Assistant to the president of the company. When Morrison's corporate office moved to Atlanta, so did Margaret and that move reconnected her with a man she had met years before at the USO in Savannah....Vernon Kuhn. Vernon and Margaret were married in 1976 and, upon retirement, returned to Savannah. They loved to travel and once, after visiting her niece in Israel, went on a Nile river cruise where they and one other couple were the only passengers. Margaret never met a stranger, nor was she ever at a loss for words! She loved horses and had her own horse, Rusty. In later years she worked with Horsing Around which gave her a chance to be with two of her loves: horses and children. She loved all animals especially cats although she occasionally had a dog in the mix. Margaret was a true Christian and Bible student. She not only knew her Bible; she lived her faith. She was a generous woman who gave of her time and money. She loved children and her nieces and nephews and their offspring were her pride and joy. She also loved her friends and having a good time. The adventures of Joan, Carol, Gloria and Margaret would fill a book. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, George and Effie Winders and her husband Vernon Kuhn. She is survived by her stepson, Noel H. Kuhn (Nancy), granddaughter Nicole Flowers (Tom), sister, Betty Cribb (Buddy), brothers J. George Winders and Ronald E. Winders (Sheila), nieces Margaret Byars (Ross) and Debbie Lee (Lannie), nephews Warren Cribb,Jr (Jean), Ron Winders Jr (Carol), Kevin Winders (Linda) and great nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Rita Slatus and the entire staff at Buckingham South for their loving and attentive care as well as Dr. Ken Griffin of MDVIP. Your kindness is appreciated. In lieu of flowers, donations to Palstart, a nonprofit computer educational program for the underprivileged operated by Margaret's great nephew, Phillip Byars, would be appreciated.
