Margaret F. Harden, 80, of Savannah, GA passed away December 30, 2021.
She was born in Savannah, GA to the late James Simons and Bessie Bacon Simons on February 19, 1941. She was of Baptist faith. She met her husband and love of her life, Fred Milton Harden, Jr., when she worked at the concession stand at the beach, where he would visit her everyday until the couple was married. Her love of children led her to the childcare industry, where she cared for infants in the nursery of the former Huggie Bear Daycare in Windsor Forest.
Mrs. Harden was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She would do anything for her family and loved them dearly. She doted on her grandchildren most of all. She was also a card game and Bingo fanatic who was fun loving, yet feisty. She will be greatly missed by her entire family.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Milton Harden, Jr. and a son, Fred “Freddie” Milton Harden, III.
Surviving are a son and caregiver, Glen D. Harden (Angela); a daughter, Michele Vohs (Lance); grandchildren, Caila L. Harden, Lori A. Harden, and Lance Vohs, Jr.; and daughter in law, Tammi A. Harden.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 2PM with Rev. Larry Speir officiating in the Chapel of Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hubert C, Baker Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406. The service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by using the link that can be found here on the day of the service.
