Marcelina Diane Ramsey

Marcelina Diane Ramsey, age 52, gained her wings, Tuesday, May 21, 2024 with her loved ones by her side with her favorite gospel music playing in the background.
Marcelina was born in San Antonio, Texas to the parents of the late Wanda Windom and Anthony Ramsey. She grew up in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. She graduated from Jesus Name Christian Academy in 1990. She later moved to Macon, Georgia where she reconnected with a childhood friend from back home. Josh and Marcie spent an amazing 12 years together.
Marcie was full of life, caring, loving, outgoing, patient, and giving. She had the heart of a Saint. Marcie never gave up on anyone. If you needed her, she was there and ready to help you in any way she could. She always had a smile and never complained about anything. Even after her cancer diagnosis.
She loved to sightsee, visit the beach and travel. Marcie was always up for new adventures. She enjoyed the food and cooking channels along with comedy shows and love stories. Loved music and even played the base and piano.
Marcie was a teacher at the school she graduated from for 10 years, was a Home Health Caregiver for close to 15 years, and worked for Old Savannah Trolley Tours in Savannah for the last part of her life.
Her faith was strong and her loved ones are comforted in knowing she is rejoicing with her Mom in her heavenly home.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Marcelina is survived by her husband Joshua Barker; sons, Seth & Gage (Ting Ting) Childress; brother, Robert Ramirez; many nieces and nephews; and many very close beloved friends.
A celebration of life will be held in Louisiana at a later date.
