Mack Emery Bell was born October 30, 1936 to the late Rev. James Bell and Cora Corine Wilson Bell in Newington, GA. He was the eldest of ten children. Mack was educated within the Screven County School System. He accepted the call of duty and served within the United States Army. He was proud to be an Army Veteran.

Even though he only received an eighth grade education, Mack was a 'Master Craftsman, Masonry and Brick Mason' by trade. Throughout the Chatham, Effingham, Screven and Bulloch Counties are many homes and other constructions developed by Mack.

On Wednesday, February 6, 2019 @12:45PM EST, God called his name and he answered. He is preceded in death by one son, Mack Emery Bell, Jr. two sisters, Sylvia and Sara Ann Bell, and two brothers, Willie and Lonon Bell.

Mack is survived by: four daughters, Helen Bell Cheaver and Maxine (Ulysses) Bell Young of Sylvania, GA, Tracy Bell of Statesboro, GA and Melva J. Coles of Savannah, GA.; six sons, Jerome, Emery Lee and London Bell of Statesboro, GA, Alexander and Timmoy Scott of Sylvania, GA and Emory T. Coles of Savannah, GA.; three sisters, Mae Tressie Lundy of Sylvania, GA, Annie Pearl Bell of Statesboro, GA and Christine Bell of Newington, GA.; two brothers, Aldridge (Glorious) Bell of Savannah, GA and Robert Earl (Bell of Shreveport, LA.; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial services scheduled for Saturday, February 16, 2019@ 11AM within the Hubert C. Baker Chapel. Private burial at Beaufort National Cemetery.
