Lucy Marie Lasseter Brown, 93, of Savannah died Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Azalealand Nursing Home.
Mrs. Brown was born in Brooklet, GA, the daughter of the late Leon Ignatious Lasseter and Maggie Mae Delaney Lasseter. She lived most of her life in Savannah. She was a devoted and beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Warren G. Brown; siblings, Leona Lasseter Lanier, Zadock Wilder Lasseter, Nettie Mae Lasseter Lanier, Robert Lasseter, and Harold Lasseter; and her grandson, Warren Douglas Brown. She is survived by her son, Daley L. Brown (Andreia); daughter, Sherill B. Martin (John, Sr.); grandsons, John J. Martin, Jr. (Lisa) and Kevin B. Martin; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Saturday, December 14, 2019 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 West 31st Street, Savannah, GA 31401. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Abbey Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 West 31st Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
