Savannah - Louise Brown
Born March 29th, 1921 - Died September 9th, 2016 at age 95, under the care of Hospice of Savannah.
Louise worked at Savannah Gardens as Office Manager for over thirty years. A member of the Savannah Gardens Mothers Club, she started Friday Night Dances and then Wednesday Night Teen Dances. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, an avid gardener, she loved to cook, and never met a stranger.
Preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Dale Miller, Mrs. Brown is survived by two children, Donald W. Brown and John F. Brown (Frankie); grandchildren, Denise Rahn, Clint Cowart, Troy Brown, Fritz Brown, and Emily Thatcher; great-grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Brown, Casey Louise Rahn, Samuel Harper Thatcher, and Hunter Morgan Rahn; brothers, Ray Amick and Gordon Amick, both of West Columbia, South Carolina; and a sister, Sarah Lewis of Batesburg, South Carolina.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14th from 11 am to 12:30 pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Bonaventure Chapel, 2520 Bonaventure Road, Savannah. Funeral Services will follow at 12:30 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Susan Karlson officiating. Interment: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers: Troy Brown, Fritz Brown, Clint Cowart, Emmette Brown, Irv Rahn, and Tim Tyson.
