Lou Wasden Tice

Lou Wasden Tice, age 87, of Pooler passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Tice was born on October 17, 1934 in Louisville, GA and moved to Savannah at a young age. She was a 1953 graduate of Commercial High School. She began working with Carey Hilliard’s in 1964 and retired in 1999 after 37 years of service. She was a member of The Church at Godley Station. In her younger years, Lou enjoyed square dancing and snow skiing. She was an avid gardener and loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Tice was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Roy and Susie Joiner Wasden and her sister, Laura Osteen. She is survived by her sons, William P. Tice, Jr. (Georgia Ann), Robert L. Tice (Cheryl Smiley), and Barry C. Tice (Karen); daughter, K. Renee Short (William A. Short, Jr.); sister, Betty V. Long; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 7, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
