Linda Louise Walker

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5

Linda Louise Seckinger Walker believed! While the light that was Linda left us on Friday, August 11, 2023, her Light shines as bright as it always has and always will.

Two words summarize her life - God and Family.

Linda was the loving daughter of J.B. and Anna Moore Seckinger. She was born on January 2, 1947, and welcomed into this world by her sisters Gloria and Betty.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church family - a family she cherished.

Her sisters gave her her next family, her nieces and nephews - Erwin (Virginia), Norman (Amy), Glen (Elizabeth), Matt (Laurie), Ashley (Althea), Stacy (Victor), Tracy (David) and Anna (Brandon) - who all called her “Lindie”. She loved and adored them, and their families.

God and Family were to be Linda’s life-long themes. She was married to R. Dan Walker for more than 43 years. She built a home with him and became affectionately known as the loving, “wicked old step-mother” to his three children - Jim (Christine), Kim (Kirby) and Josh (Leslie). To her grandchildren - Alex, Cayla, Garret, Danielle, Samantha, James, Daniel, Livy, Hunter and Meadow - she was “Meme”. She was blessed that her Lord brought Great-Grandchildren into her life.

Linda loved flowers. All expressions of sympathy, including flowers, memorial contributions to The Bridge, 745 Mason Road, Pembroke, GA, 31321, or Immanuel Baptist Church, 7375 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA, 31406, or to a favorite charity, and cards are welcome.

Visitation on Monday August 14, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., to celebrate Linda’s time with us, and a service on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., to praise God for sharing her with us.
