Linda Lou Rogers Pinckney, 79, of Savannah, passed into glory January 15, 2021 in the presence of her loving husband of 59 years, Francis “ Frank” Marion Pinckney and loving nurse, Amy Pointer.
She was a 1958 graduate of Savannah High School. She was employed for 25 years at Backus Cadillac and 35 years at Calvary Baptist Temple as a receptionist.
She is preceded in death by her loving son, Sheldon Gill Pinckney; parents, Coy M. Rogers, Sr. and Lucille Gill Rogers; brother and sister in law, Coy “Pete” M. Rogers, Jr. and Theresa Douglas Rogers; and brother, James “Jimmy” R. Rogers.
Surviving are her husband; sister, Martha “Marty” Rogers Williams; sister in law Bonnie Rogers of Richmond Hill; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Amedisys Hospice of Pooler for their excellent care of Mrs. Pinckney.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Derward Poole officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Amedisys Hospice of Pooler or Calvary Baptist Temple.
