Linda Perry Downs

On Monday, November 5, 2018 Linda Perry Downs went to be with the Lord. She was born in Macon, GA. She graduated high school from Windsor Forest High School class of 1970. She was a well known manager of many finance companies in Savannah, including GMS Loans, Sunset Finance, and Credit Central. She was proceeded in death by both of her parents, Jean and Reese Perry, and her beloved husband of thirty-seven years, Robert "Bobby" Downs. She is survived by her son, "her chosen child," Robert Patrick Downs (Elizabeth) of Rincon, her daughter, "her miracle child," Brenda Gayle Downs (fiancé James) of Savannah, her grandchildren, Taylor, Evan, and Jazilyn; two sisters, Brenda Nuscher (Ed) and Theresa Taylor (Jack), a brother Hilton Perry (Jacki), many nieces and nephews, and other extended family, including a wonderful companion of five years, Bob Burchard, and her special "aunt" Joan Hudgins. Funeral services will be held at Baker McCullough (address: 7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr. Savannah, GA 31406) on Friday, November 9th with visitation starting at 10am and services following at 11am. The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Angela Wells for the love and care she provided Ms. Linda during her last few months. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either the Hospice House of Savannah or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
