Linda Hodges

Linda South Hodges, 63, of Savannah, entered into the arms of the Lord peacefully on Monday June 4, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends. Linda was born in Savannah, GA on October 15, 1954 to Laverne and Gertrude South. She was formerly employed at Savannah Shipyard and was a successful business owner for many years. Linda graduated from St. Vincent's Academy in 1973, and attended Blessed Sacrament Church. Linda enjoyed spending time with family, caring for her fur babies, gardening, and always had her coffee and newspaper nearby. She touched the lives of everyone she met and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Gertrude Murphy South.
She is survived by her daughter Lauren Michelle Hodges of Savannah, GA; father, Laverne South Jr. of Tybee Island, Ga; beloved dogs, Lady and Marley; Lauren's father, Darcy Elizabeth Hodges (David); brothers, Laverne South, III of Savannah, Ga, Stephen South of Tybee Island, Ga, David South (Kathy) of Guyton, Ga, Michael South (Allison) of Savannah, Ga, Dennis South (Robbi) of Savannah, Ga; brother-in-laws, George Hodges (Lisa) of Atlanta, Ga, Ralph Hodges (Charlene) of Midway, Ga, Jim Hodges (Kim) of Savannah, Ga; sister-in-law Dottie Wingett (Carlton) of Pensacola; many beloved nieces and nephews, Adam Hodges, Grace Hodges, Garrett Hodges, Annie Fisher (Drew), Jamie Wingett, Skip Wingett, Abigail Wingett, Ashlee South, Molly Curry (Will), and Laverne South, IV.

Honorary Pallbearers: Laverne South, III, Stephen South, David South, Michael South, & Dennis South

Visitation: 5pm to 7pm Thursday June 7, 2018 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home- Hubert C. Baker Chapel with Rosary Service 6pm.

Funeral Service: 1 pm Friday June 8, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament, and following the service, interment will be at Greenwich Cemetery.
