Linda Green

d. January 14, 2017

Yu Ko Sun was born in Okchon-kun, Chungpuk, Korea on January 11, 1954 to Chae Sik Yu, Father, Nam An, Mother. She was escorted home to be with her Heavenly Father with the breaking of dawn on Friday, January 13, 2017.
Yu Ko Sun, affectionately known to her American family as "Linda", was swept off her feet by the late Alfonso Green in 1975, and traveled across the ocean to start a new life with him, relocating initially to Baltimore, Maryland and later settling in Savannah, Georgia where she resided until her passing. Out of this union, Linda and Alfonso were blessed with two sons, Alfonso Green, Jr. and Jay Douglass Green. Linda was proud of officially becoming a citizen of the United States on April 21, 1983.
The name Linda was befitting for her as it simply means "Love" and she was truly a vessel of "Love" that God gifted to her family and friends. Linda had a servant's heart and was always so graciously ready to not only put other's needs ahead of her own, but to serve with the right motivation and that is to put God's will first. Rewards, recognition or even gratitude was never her motivation for serving but to live out true servant hood the way Jesus did.
Joyously carrying on her spirit and legacy are her two devoted sons, Alfonso Green, Jr. and Jay Douglass Green, her sweet daughter-in-law, Prenina Green, her precious grandchildren, Taylor Alexis Harley, Malik Ra'quan Green, Saira Ashlei Jacinta Green, Alfonso Jae Green III, many sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces, nephews, several lifelong friends and a host of relatives and loved ones who will miss her dearly.
Preceding her in death are her Beloved Husband Alfonso Green, her Parents, Chae Sik Yu and Nam, An, her Mother-in-law, Annie Lue Green and her Father-in-law, Douglass Leroy Green.

Visitation will be held from 4:00pm-7:00pm, Thursday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel. A funeral will follow visitation at 7:00pm in the funeral home chapel.Interment will take place at 10:00am, Friday, January 20, 2017 at Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, South Carolina.
