Linda Diane Paden Cleland, 73, of Richmond Hill, passed away February 1, 2023 at Memorial
Hospital.
Linda was born December 22, 1949 in Marietta, Georgia to the late Harold and Jacqueline
Paden.
She was family oriented and doted on her sons, Stephen and Johnny. She put them first in
everything she did including cooking and preparing their plates at every meal to making sure
they had everything they needed. She was an amazing organizer and could organize anything
or anyone. She was methodical in all her ways and kept an eagle eye on the family needs.
Linda had a deep appreciation for coastal life and salt water. She enjoyed going crabbing,
shrimping, and fishing. Most especially loved cleaning, cooking, eating those blue crabs.
After retiring as a Paralegal from McMahan and McMahan Associates in Oklahoma, Linda and
her husband of nearly 22 years, Ray Cleland relocated to Richmond Hill, Georgia. The two often
liked to travel and explore new places.
In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by a sister, Patricia.
Surviving are her husband, Ray Cleland; sons, Stephen (Laura) Strickland and Johnny
(Suzanne) Strickland; daughter, Rachel (Michael) Baylor; 14 grandchildren; 2 great-
grandchildren; and sisters, Donna and Teresa.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Noon in the chapel of the funeral
home with Rev. Rick West officiating. The family will receive friends from 11am Saturday until
the time of the service. Burial will be at Screven County Memorial Cemetery in Sylvania, GA.
