Lewis Edward Jones was born on June 24, 1929 to the late Thomas Jones & Beatrice Teachey in Boydton, Va.
Lewis grew up in Boydton, Va with his parents and 2 sisters, Henrietta Booth & Lucille White who have precede him in death. As an adult Lewis served as a Soldier in the Korean War after that he relocated to Washington DC where he started his career as a Professional Bus Driver for DC Department of Parks & Recreation for over 30 years. It was here in Washington DC where he met & married the love of his life Alberta and together they raised a family with 3 children Diana Jones, Amin Abdullah & Catherine Jones(deceased) & also 3 Stepchildren Micheal Wise (deceased), Rodney Wise (deceased) & Jaimee Wise (deceased)
Lewis enjoyed cooking Southern Comfort foods in his downtime, watching an array of sports and playing scrabble with his wife Alberta.
Lewis leaves to to celebrate continue life his wife; Alberta Jones, daughter; Diana E. Jones, son; Amin Abdullah, Catherine Jones (deceased) Grandchildren; Anissa Evon, Kanan Aston, Delano Corbin, Aisha Wise, Wantu Wise, Kameelah Robinson, & Rashidah Wise alone with a host of other family memebers & friends.
There will be a memorial service at a later date in Washington DC.
