Lawrence George Wilson, age 69, of Savannah, died Tuesday, February 25th, 2014 at his residence .
A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of George William Wilson and Bette Arlene Wilson. A veteran, having served in the Army National Guard, he was a Mason, member of the American Legion, an avid bird lover, and served as a volunteer at St. Joseph's Hospital. Lawrence was employed as a claims adjuster with the State Farm Insurance Company.
Preceded in death by his father and a brother, Douglas Wilson of Willowick, Ohio, he is survived by his mother Bette Wilson of Willowick, Ohio; his wife, Linda Wilson of Savannah; 2 sons, Larry Wilson (Marjorie) of Springfield & Jeffery Wilson (Robyn) of Rancho Cordova, California; a daughter, Lori Fuller of Newman, California; brother, Daniel Wilson (Nancy) of Russell Township, Ohio; 2 sisters, Nanci Malovrah (Bill) of Willowick, Ohio & Wendy Joyce (David) of Woodstock; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 9th from 1-4 PM at 115 Bellingrath Court, Savannah.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Hospice Savannah or the Savannah Humane Society.
