Laverne Wilson

LaVerne D. Wilson, of Savannah, passed away on December 18, 2015. Laverne was born in Toombs County. She moved to Savannah in the 1940's where she met her late husband Jack Wilson. LaVerne was a long time member of The Savannah Progressive Primitive Baptist Church where she enjoyed working in the nursery. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, and her 12 siblings. She is survived by her children Joe Wilson and Steve Wilson (Alicia), and grandchildren Tiffany Nunez (Luis), Steven Wilson Jr., and Katherine Chase. Graveside Services will be held at 11am on Tuesday, December 22 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
